There is a lot of lightning in Florida. A lot.
That’s why the storm a few days back took out some equipment, and it even manged to damage the circuitry inside of a few LED lights. (Did you ever wonder why you need circuitry inside LEDs? The current has to be REGULATED. Connecting a LED straight to an energy source will turn it into a fuse, and I mean a fuse like the one that initiates an explosion).
Three lights decided to glow at 1/3 of their brightness. But here is the thing: they burned out because they were ON during the storm. The light switch that disconnects them from the power to turn them off, would have kept them isolated from lightning (at least to an extent).
This is what happens in life as well. We can shield ourselves from everything, but then, we would not be able to do anything. So the only way to glow, brightly; is to become vulnerable.
