Actionable AI – The Daily PPILL #341

Even with all the buzz around AI, and all the rapid advancements, sometimes we still fall into thinking that nothing’s going to change. Everything will as we are used to, and no, no jobs will be disrupted.

Here is one to make you think again: with the latest iOS release, Apple included at least a couple of “Premium” voices: “Jamie”, a male UK English voice; and “Ava”, a female US English voice.

They are pretty good. And will only get better.

Very soon (and I mean, next year), reading an audiobook, or being a voice-over artist will be gone. The only chance for a voice-over artist to subsist will be if they can exploit their unique personality. You will not pay additional for a book read by a human, unless is the author of the book, or perhaps a celebrity.
