In most organizations, and in our modern world, we have to coexist with those who don’t necessarily share our points of view, beliefs, or even customs.
A fundamental part of coexistence is to be able to debate ideas in a way that doesn’t develop into outright hostility, and a key habit for this is to always criticize ideas, never the person that those ideas are coming from.
A good starting point can be to almost banish the word “you” from your conversations, except when it is for praising someone.
