You are standing at the same place. It is what it is.
You have bee hiking for the last four hours. One foot in front of the other. Negotiating the rocks, the roots. Turning each switchback in expectation of being closer to the summit.
Just the occasional sip of water and the permeating aroma of the woods that make you forget how tired you are.
You finally make a turn, and you see it, the woods open up and you can see the valley below you. You made it.
But depending on how you see things, you may have a completely different experience.
You may think “I am at the edge of the precipice”, when you are actually on the top of the mountain.
